Company History
2003: Company founded by Mr. H.O. Traut, [Hennie], who is the Chief Executive Officer of the concern and Mr. H.J. Traut, [Harry], as Chairman.
Hennie has contributed a twenty five years career within the South African HVACR Industry, starting out in the earlier years with the mining sector in the Free State and gained vast experience in electrical and mechanical orientation, on underground chillers. Harry has been associated with the industry for fifteen years and began very much in the same vane as Hennie by way of the mining fraternity and having an electrical and mechanical grounding.
2005: Westpoint Air-conditioning acquired Tropic Manufacturing which is today known as WP Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd dedicated solely to the manufacturing of the console unit range. Mr. Ralf and Carl Klomann are head of production, [German Manufacturing Technologists], contributing greatly to the stringent manufacturing specifications and high quality standards adhered to in the production facility.

The company contributes greatly to learner ship and apprentice programs for all staff members, technically as well as commercially. Proper training has been implemented since the company began during 2003.
